About the founder
I am beyond excited to help guide you across some of my favourite countries.
With 5 years of full time travel experience under my belt (or inside my backpack), I ensure our adventures together are not only enriching in culture, heritage and community, but with my experience, I create trips that go beyond the borders of our mind and the tourist route and I take us to places unknown, working with my teams on the ground to make your trip an adventure you will never forget, with epic surprises along the way!

I’m Jay, the mind behind Beyond Borders Expeditions
Our founder, Jay has travelled across the world full time for the last 5 years, uncovering deep historic and cultural pathways that led to the inspiration to take others along for the ride!
Beyond Borders Expeditions was created after 1000’s of people reached out via social media explaining that they wanted to explore the same areas, but were too scared to do it solo. With Jay’s first hand expertise paired with our phenomenal hand picked itineraries and routes, Beyond Borders Expeditions was created to bring together travellers, to cultivate lifelong friendships, and come together to experience some of the worlds most phenomenal destinations!
Our trips are designed for adventurous, open-minded and furiously curious people, and of course, those who can ride the wave of the unexpected!
Our trips are open to anyone over the age of 18 years old, upwards of 40+. A moderate fitness level or anyone with a similar level of excitement is required from anyone wishing to join to ensure we have a smooth journey.
Due to our trips being in some pretty epic spots, our logistics can be affected by things out of our control like the weather, roadblocks or internal flight cancellations - it is fundamental that anyone who joins our trips can be spontaneous. Don’t worry, our teams including Jay ensure we do everything in our power to make sure the alternative is just as good as the original
plan!
My trips come off the back of personal trips I have taken, searching far and wide for the most unique, adventurous and (above all) safe way to take a group along to experience this.
The teams on the ground are trusted by me with my heart, having travelled with them multiple times to make sure we offer the best for our guests - this includes the prices in return for the experiences we provide!
